Song Review: “Just Another Tuesday” by Santa Sallet
Santa Sallet has released a new song and the music video titled “Just Another Tuesday.” Hailing from Washington, DC, Santa Sallet has put together a song sure to be enjoyed by those wishing to discover new rap music. In addition to making rap and hip-hop music, Santa Sallet is also a talented producer and businessman.
The music video for “Just Another Tuesday” features a thumbnail of Santa Sallet sitting in a sports car with money flying out of it. He is in a white outfit that looks rather expensive, and is holding a big bag that has a dollar sign on it. The words “Just Another Tuesday” are displayed in all caps in purple. This makes potential viewers interested in watching the video. While Tuesday is often associated with being in the middle of the workweek, there appears to be the possibility that Santa Sallet sees it as a day for spending and partying.
Upon beginning to watch the music video, viewers will find the latter to be the correct interpretation of “Just Another Tuesday.” It begins with images of statues before cutting to Santa Sallet coming down in a see-through elevator in a fancy building. He then proceeds to walk in the streets at night, proudly holding the bag of money seen in the thumbnail. For example, Santa Sallet raps in the first lines “I got that white/Oh she coming home with me tonight.” White is also the color of the bag of money he holds in the music video, as well as the color of his sports car. As far as the title of the song, it comes from the following lyrics: “They go up like Tuesday/They go up like Tuesday/Yeah I’m grabbing on that booty.” Santa Sallet’s ability to correlate the day of Tuesday with the lyrical content of the song is certainly impressive, cementing his talents as a lyricist.
Santa Sallet has no shortage of rhymes in his lyrics. It is common for five or more lines to all end on the same rhyme. That being said, Santa Sallet does not strip the song of content. He is able to come up with many creative rhymes to both tell a story and make a great listening experience.
