Exclusive Interview: Ferraredo

StreetWave Media presents an exclusive interview with French Pop artist, Ferraredo located in France. After our interview check out the music linked below…

1. What made you decide to jump into the music industry or music business?

I’ve always been deeply passionate about music since a young age. Growing up, I found myself drawn to the power of melodies and the emotions they evoke. It was a natural progression for me to pursue a career in the music industry, driven by my desire to share my own stories and emotions through music with others. The opportunity to connect with people on a profound level through my songs is what ultimately inspired me to jump into the music.

2. What do you think makes you stand out from all the other aspiring and upcoming artists in your genre of music?

What sets me apart from other aspiring artists in the RnB and contemporary urban pop genre is my unique blend of influences and storytelling. Drawing inspiration from both American street culture and my own experiences, I strive to create music that resonates deeply with listeners. My songs like ‘Demo (WIP)’ and ‘Chaque Fois’ showcase a distinct sound that combines catchy melodies with meaningful lyrics, capturing the essence of modern urban music while offering a fresh perspective. This fusion allows me to carve out a niche in the industry and connect authentically with my audience, distinguishing me as an artist who brings something new and compelling to the table.

3. If you could collaborate with ANY artist/band… Who would you choose and why?

If I had to choose one, I would say the american singer Drake or Rosalía of course. That makes two but I can’t choose one…(laughs)

4. What do you think is your biggest Advantage and your biggest Disadvantage about being an Indie artist?

My biggest advantage as an independant artist is the creative freedom and control I have over my music. I can fully express myself artistically without external pressures or restrictions. This allows me to experiment with different sounds and genres, shaping my own unique musical identity. On the flip side, the biggest disadvantage is that as an independent artist, I often have to manage everything by myself but it’s okay, I’m on it!

5. Do you prefer the Independent route or would you rather sign to a major record label, and why?

I appreciate the freedom and creative control that being an independent artist offers. It allows me to fully explore my artistic vision without external influences. However, signing with a major record label could be cool. I’m gonna think ‘bout this!

6. Out of all the songs you’ve released, what do you think is your Best song and why?

My favorite song of all time for me, is definitely « Fireflies » by Owl City and I also love the good classics like « Space Oddity » by David Bowie or « Waves » by Dean Lewis. They take you into an incredible sound experience, I love it and for my part it’s the last one I just released, « Deux Cœurs », it evokes the themes of love and the sensitivity of two soulmates who love to hate each other. It’s an ode to a romantic journey around the sweetness of hating each other.

7. Do you miss the era of CD sales OR do you prefer the new wave of music streaming?  Explain…

I appreciate the evolution towards music streaming. It offers unparalleled accessibility and convenience for both artists and listeners. While CD sales had their charm and tangible appeal, streaming allows music to reach a global audience instantly, breaking down geographical barriers. As an artist, this dynamic landscape encourages creativity and adaptation to digital trends, which ultimately enhances my connection with people worldwide.

8. Between creating in the studio OR performing live on stage, which is your most enjoyable one and why?

Both creating in the studio and performing live on stage offer unique joys. In the studio, I find immense satisfaction in the process of crafting and refining my music, experimenting with sounds and melodies until I achieve the desired result. It’s a deeply personal and introspective experience where I can fully immerse myself in my creativity.

On the other hand, performing live on stage is exhilarating in a different way. The energy and connection with the audience create an electrifying atmosphere that’s hard to replicate elsewhere. Sharing my music in real-time, seeing the immediate reactions and emotions from the crowd, is incredibly rewarding. It’s where all the hard work in the studio comes to life, and I feel a profound sense of fulfillment in engaging directly with my public through music.

9. During your entire journey through the music business, what would you consider your Worst experience?

I don’t have one, honestly but if I really had to say one I would say my mental health journey and to stay calm even if the pression is hard.

10. What would you consider your most successful or proudest moment in your music career, so far?

Everything! I consider my career as a journey and everyday is wonderful for that.
