Song Review: “Going For The Win” by H3TheArtist
Clayton County, Georgia-based rapper H3TheArtist has released the song “Going For The Win.” It is a motivational hip hop song that is sure to please fans of rap and uplifting music. Additionally, H3TheArtist has released a music video to provide a visual representation of the song.
“Going For The Win” begins with high-pitched synths, instantly grabbing the attention of the listeners. When H3TheArtist’s vocals arrive, listeners hear him chant “Ay” many times, allowing listeners to be introduced to his voice before lyrical content enters. When it does, listeners will instantly recognize “Going For The Win” as an uplifting song. H3TheArtist opts to launch right into the chorus: “I think I’m going for the winning/I will not stop until I win it/This my destiny/There’s no stopping me/I think I’m going for the winning/I will not stop until I win it.” This six-line chorus sees two rapped lyrics sandwiched in between four sung lyrics. The song ends with horns with the video fading to black. However, a graphic unexpectedly appears at the end. This graphic displays an image of him standing in front of many basketball greats. It also encourages viewers to stream “Going For The Win” on all platforms, and displays the logos of those platforms.
